In Buddhism, Dharma (in Pali, Dhamma) usually refers to the teachings of the Buddha. It is one of the three gems; the others being the Buddha himself and the sangha (the buddhist congregation or community)1.
Dharma is a Sanskrit term that has many translations, some of which are "the law," "the truth," or "the teachings." It is also called Dhamma in Pali and it is one of the three refuges included in the Three Jewels in Buddhism.
